Merle Haggard stands as country's remaining black-hat rebel, the last man singing for the underdog. Haggard and his songs retain the grit, heart and honesty that first won him fans and the title of “the poet of the common man.” A Country Music Hall of Famer, Grammy Award-winner and most recently a Kennedy Center Honoree, Haggard is a country music icon and living legend with dozens of honors and awards to his credit for trailblazing songs such as "I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink," “That’s the Way Love Goes,” "Mama Tried," "Okie from Muskogee," "The Fightin’ Side of Me" and "Workin’ Man Blues."Read More
